FUME EXTRACTION AND ODOUR CONTROL
NEW FACTORY IN MANCHESTER
JJ Ventilation has been selected to provide fume extraction and odour control for PZ Cussons’ new factory to be built in Manchester. The new facility will blend and produce a wide range of fragrances and ingredients for use in soaps, shampoos and other household products.
Extraction is necessary for the control and exhaust of solvent fume emissions at numerous locations within the process areas and this will be achieved by a system of ductwork and grilles linked to a carbon filter and centrifugal fan set. The filter unit houses pre-filters followed by activated carbon cells for enhanced take-up of organic odours and pollutants.
The carbon filter unit and fan will be mounted on an external steel platform. Fan speed control is by an inverter and differential pressure gauges across the filters provide an indication of filter condition.
