ATI GARRYSON GETS ACCURATE WITH A JJ BREEZAIR COOLING SYSTEM
ATI Garryson are manufacturers of specialist abrasive products and have a long relationship with JJ Ventilation, so when their Engineering Manager, Mr Paul Mosier, had a requirement for a clean temperature controlled production area, he did not hesitate to call JJ Ventilation.
Problem
For ATI Garryson to maintain a constant accuracy in the manufacture of their rotary files, they required a cost-effective solution to provide a constant temperature throughout the year. Having an effective heating system, ATI Garryson were looking to cool the production area in the height of summer to achieve the required year-round mean temperature. An air conditioning solution was prohibitive due to high installation and running costs and also due to the presence of fine overspill oil mist within the atmosphere which would lead to vastly increased maintenance costs.
Solution
After discussing all options, we agreed that the best approach for this project would be to utilise three Breezair TBA Evaporative Cooling units to meet the required cool, filtered, fresh air summer cooling requirement. These units function automatically to maintain a constant temperature via a Breezair IWC industrial wall controller incorporating a seven-day timer operation, remote temperature and humidity sensor.
Two JJ Low Profile Roof Extract Units were also installed to operate in conjunction with the coolers and remove any overspill oil mist and waste heat from the factory. As before, the extract units were operated automatically by thermostat control.
